I am one of six invited artists creating work “live” in different rooms of the Oakbourne Mansion in West Chester, PA. The artists will be donating work to the live or silent auctions at The Hickman signature fundraiser, which benefits the Resident Assistance Fund. This unique event engages attendees with artists while they create their work and discuss their process. The Hickman is a Quaker led, non-profit celebrating the 127th year anniversary of providing a safe and thriving home to older adults in Chester County. The Resident Assistance Fund provides financial assistance to residents who have depleted their financial resources so they can continue to live in The Hickman community. No resident has had to leave The Hickman due to financial reasons because of this fund since opening in 1891. It brings me joy to know that my creativity and energy will contribute to this important effort.
